This Spring I will be teaching a course at the Sumter County Gallery of Art in Sumter, SC titled "Contemporary Art since 1950". The course will be an hour of lecture with many images and videos followed by 30 minutes of discussion. Everything from Modernism to Dada, Conceptual and Fluxus to current trends in the visual arts will be explored. This class is designed for those who just want a refresher course of art over the last 50 years, to those who want to better understand and appreciate what hangs on gallery walls today. The class meets every Thursday from March 1st - March 29th from 6 - 7:30 pm. The cost is $75 for members and $85 for non-members. A full schedule of classes can be downloaded to the right.
